Mr Carrington saw my mum in October 2015. He was kind and understanding. He listened to her, examined her and explained how he could help her. We both felt that he was a very capable surgeon and that she would be in safe hands. Mr Carrington did her op in mid-November and she is doing very well. Mum has a complicated medical history and Mum is delighted with her new hip and is now pain free. Wonderful!
From the first consultation Mr Britton was very likeable, being easy to speak to and very quickly displayed an excellent grasp of my leg conditions, considering historic injuries which had a bearing on fitting of the new joint. The operation was on a Saturday morning, recovery Sunday, home on Monday. Mr Britton visited me each day confirming all seemed very much in order and after final x-rays Monday morning he confirmed the hip joint was well placed and I would be going home in the afternoon. An amazing experience with little pain (2/3). I had the utmost confidence in this surgeon, and his excellent team. I will be seeing Mr Britton in 5 weeks time. The spinal block was the right anaesthetic for me together with sedative it worked very well. I honestly could not think of anything that would improve a well practised procedure.private patient
I had waited over three years for my shoulder operation when Dr Auplish agreed to operate it was so straight forward and my treatment was second to none from preparation to aftercare was unbeatable absolutely over the moon with everything.
I just wanted to say that I could not fault any of the nursing staff, the anaesthetist or the doctor that saw me. I was anxious about the surgery, especially as visitors are not allowed to stay with you on the day unit, and the nurses were very kind and helped to relieve this. All procedures were well explained, as was the recovery process. The day seemed to run smoothly and in a co-ordinated manner, it was very impressive.
Thank you for making the knee revision so easy for me. After 5 weeks my knee is working well and I’m able to walk into my village every day. I cannot tell you how grateful I am.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Auplish.
He is friendly, approachable and a good listener.
The surgery he carried out on my hand achieved excellent results.
I have had the misfortune to need a shoulder replacement but the fortune to be under the care of Mr Boyle. From day one I found Mr Boyle to be caring, understanding and sympathetic with my situation. He listened to me, engaged with me and essentially reassured me. Subsequent after care has been impeccable which I take as a reflection of the NHS, physiotherapist, receptionist, radiologist……… I will need a further replacement as the current shoulder will wear out. I really hope to be under the care of Mr Boyle.
A great surgeon who put my foot back together after a nasty accident. Excellent communication of the issues, explained everything very clear and has got me to a position that we thought unlikely. Mr Jowett even called me a day post op to make sure I’d understood our conversation post surgery- recognising that I’d probably not taken in everything when still sedated. If you are lucky enough to be assigned or be able to choose Mr Jowett, you are in safe hands.
In January 2020 I ruptured 2 extensor tendons in my right hand. As a keen organist and pianist this was a disaster. Sadly due to the Covid situation my surgery could not take place until September 2020. The care and expertise I have received from Mr Auplish has been outstanding. The operation has restored my ability to do what I love . Being a musician Mr Auplish has that “extra” understanding. I would recommend any musicians with hand problems to consult him.
Wonderful care from him and his team.
